Educational-sports department

For the School of olimpic reserve 1 sports preparation is a priority direction.
Preparation is conducted on 37 sports in educational-training groups, groups of sports enhancement and the higher sports skills.
The work on the organisation and maintenance of of educational-training process conditions is concentrated in educational-sports department(ESD). Activity of ESD promotes achievement by pupils of SOR of high sports results

Aims of ESD:

  • maintenance of all-the-year-round specialised preparation of candidates and members of Russian Federation national teams on the Olympic sports;
  • co-ordination of educational process and teaching-training employment for increase of of pupils and students sports skills;
  • teamwork with pedagogical collective school training period on preparation of young experts in the field of physical training and sports;
  • education of patriotism at the sportsmen, which representing school and Russia at competitions of a various rank.

Activity of ESD promotes achievement by pupils of SOR of high sporting results.

Educational-sporting work is carried out by 7 regular trainers-teachers and 16 part-time teachers. 10 of them have the rank «honored coach of Russia». For the work in school involved trainers from CYSOR.

The instructors-methodologists of sports branches work In close contact to trainers and sportsmen.

The School has at its service a gym for employment of the sitting volleyball team and the choreography hall, the platform for streetball.
In December 2008 is put in commission the universal sports complex in which are located:

  • pool on 25 metres with six paths;
  • hall for sporting games 4524 .);
  • four weight rooms:
    • hall of power preparation;
    • hall «of dry» swimming;
    • hall of special preparation;
    • hall of the general physical preparation.

In 2008 in city boundaries of Ekaterinburg is bought the Nizhneisetsky skiing lodge. On the area of 7,5 hectares are located a two-storeyed building and ski lines in the extent of 2 km, 3 km, 5, 7 km, 10 km.

For the basic training are used sports bases of Ekaterinburg:

  • educational sporting base «Dynamo» - biathlon and ski race;
  • educational-sports base «Uktus» - Nordic combined;
  • athletic complex «Yunost» - ice hockey, speed skating, figure skating;
  • arena of a sports complex «Luch» - athletics;
  • stadium «Dynamo» -  field hockey, bullet firing;
  • hall of sports centre «Verkh-Isetsky»  - Greco-Roman wrestling

Concentration in one place of young sportsmen and maintenance of an optimum mode of trainings and studies, medical-regenerative maintenance and meals gives the results. From 1971 105 pupils and graduates of school had taken part in Olympic games. They have brought to our Country 19 gold, 39 silver and 20 bronze medals, 11 bronze medals in Paralympian games.

Among the Olympic champions are the graduates of SOR: Sergey Chepikov, Sergey Kashkarov – biathlon; Elena Ahaminova, Natalya Razumova, Svetlana Nikishina, Irina Kolodiazhnaya, Elena Andreyuk, Irina Kirillova, Elena Volkova, Irina Smirnova, Svetlana Korytova - volleyball; Marina Klimova - figure skating; Nikolay Khabibullin - ice hockey; Irina Zilber - rhythmic gymnastics, Egor Mekhoncev - boxing, Ivan Ukhov - athletics, Nikolay Apalikov - volleyball.
